Well, I was thinking to myself, what cool and fun AI tool could I make for this Christmas? And I came up with an interesting idea that I worked on to some extent, but then I couldn’t continue because of the heavy API usage, so I gave up :)
The cool thing I noticed was that people, especially teenagers (including myself), spend a lot of time on music and listening to songs. And naturally, everyone has different tastes when it comes to music, but most of the time, they prefer songs that match their vibe and personality. So I thought, why not create something that can figure out your vibe and personality based on some data, and then generate a Spotify playlist for you?
Of course, I really wanted to make this specifically for Christmas and launch it at that time :)
This is the algorithmic architecture I had in mind for building this project :
- 1 -Use the X Twitter API to fetch tweets from different users.
- 2 -Feed the fetched tweets to an LLM like Gemini with a precise prompt, and that LLM should analyze the user's tweet data to identify and describe their vibe and personality.
- 3 -Based on the vibe that the LLM detected, suggest 10 songs and use the Spotify API to automatically create a playlist from them.
- 4 -Finally, the user should be able to share their playlist so that more and more people try it out and it becomes a trend.

In the end, the cost of using the X (Twitter) APIs was very high, and unfortunately, I couldn’t continue this project.
